Every September, an old custom will be cultivated in Fügen. If no cattle were harmed this year and no one died on the farm, the cattle on the mountain pasture are festively decorated for the way home. The animals receive magnificent headdresses and bells. At home it is celebrated that the farmer, together with his shepherds, the dairymen and the cattle, have returned to the stable. The ringing bells traditionally keep the way home safe from demons.
Every year at the Kohlerhof, the big "Huamfohra Festl" takes place. The cows are eagerly awaited, there are Tyrolean specialties and a farmer's market. The festival is always framed by live music.
